Nipan Oranniwesna

Nipan Oranniwesna (b. 1962, Bangkok) is an artist who pursues his interests to explore the relationships that arise between people and spaces. He appreciates the importance of public spaces that are constructed and transformed into a tool that impels people to access memories personal and collective alike. As such, Nipan tends to work with a diverse selection of mediums, a characteristic that speaks to the physicality and complexity of thought that drives each person’s internal identity. Nipan’s past works have included paintings, location-based installations, photographs, and motion pictures, all of which place great emphasis on the audience, who participate through their individual senses.
